Dental Implant Fees

Implant Treatments

Because of the complicated nature of the work we are carrying out, all fees here are used as a guide. Your treatment plan will be an estimate for your specific treatment, and we will explain the cost at each stage. In some complex cases, the treatment quoted may be more than the prices below.

However, with us, you can rest assured that our senior dental implant surgeon will provide you with a clear treatment plan and costs with no hidden extras (elsewhere, often implant prices won’t include the crown or other restorative fees, or other surgical needs your particular case would require to be successful). If along the patient journey you want to change the course of your treatment, such as additional treatment you would like, then a new treatment plan with costs will be provided.

COST FAQS

What’s included in the cost?

  1. All of your appointments, including bite corrections.
  2. Aftercare, advice and support.
  3. X-rays, impressions and moulds.

Can you get dental implants for free?

In theory, it is possible, but there are very strict guidelines in claiming dental implants on the NHS.

Even if there is a clinical need for tooth replacement surgery, you will likely be offered dentures or bridgework instead.

Potential additional fees

  1. Bone grafts, regeneration or augmentations from £250 (you won’t beat these prices)
  2. Sinus lifts + implant placement from £600
  3. Periodontal therapy from £250

Patients who have ignored tooth loss for a long period are likely to suffer from bone loss in their jawbone, which is a problem that needs to be resolved in the case of conventional implant placement.

When there is insufficient bone present, there is nothing for the implant to fuse to and can become wobbly and dislodge out of place – something you definitely don’t want to happen after spending money on your new smile.

However, there are other non-conventional treatments we can use to work around little bone in the jaw, as some implant-based treatments like All-on-4 are the graftless solution to full arch rehabilitation.

Cheap implants

Cheap, low-costing implants might seem alluring and attractive, but please note that implants are priced as they are for a reason – and that reason is that they require meticulous planning, care and attention.

Dental implants fail, and we can’t tell you how many times we’ve had to resurrect work carried out in places like Turkey, which have left patients with metal palates and grating exposed.

Please note that choosing a dentist abroad means choosing unknown techniques, brands and systems that we here in the UK might not be able to help with if things go wrong.

You will be surprised at the number of dentists who turn down implant corrections as it is dangerous for us to go in and try to resolve a system we have no experience in handling.

By choosing a local, UK dentist you can trust the systems they use and know they’ll only be around the corner in case of an emergency. Here at Dorset Dental, we have an implant success rate of 98.2%.
