Kate’s interest in dentistry began when going through orthodontic treatment as a teenager. The first-hand experience of realising how much an improved smile can matter to an individual made her want to pursue a career in dentistry. She was determined to learn the skills that would enable her to improve the confidence, comfort, and quality of life for many people.
She began her journey by studying Dental Nursing at the University of Portsmouth, where she graduated in 2018 with the Student of The Year Award. Kate returned to Portsmouth one year later to pursue her interests and study Dental Hygiene, which she graduated with 1st class honours in 2022.
Kate particularly enjoys helping anxious patients; with her calm manner, empathy, and gentleness, she has transformed the smiles of patients who used to be terrified of walking into a dental practice. She has a keen interest in treating advanced gum disease and enjoys refreshing her knowledge and implementing it into practice.
Outside of work, she enjoys working out, swimming in the sea, and hosting dinner parties for family and friends. At these parties, she recreates recipes from around the globe, paired with lots of laughter, card games, and wine.
