An excellent asset to our team, Kayley trained at Portsmouth Dental Academy in 2006 alongside Kings College London students, attaining a BSc (Hons) degree in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. After graduating, she moved to South London, working in two private dental practices, before returning home to Poole in June 2011.
Kayley has an interest in cosmetic dental treatments, such as tooth whitening, and undertook additional training in this subject with the president of the UK Bleaching Society in 2011 in Hammersmith, London. She also completed one-on-one training in advanced wrinkle reduction treatment with Tim Eldridge in November 2015. Kayley is a member of the British Society of Periodontology and keeps up to date with the latest research in dental hygiene care. Additionally, Kayley continues to grow her knowledge in Dental Implants by supporting the ADI Team Congress and EAO (European Association for Osseointegration) Congress. She loves working with paediatric patients and gently helping anxious patients through their treatment, taking a holistic approach and fundamentally placing the prevention of disease and individual care of patients above all else.
Our hygiene therapist accepted a position with Poole Hospital NHS Trust in June 2011 and worked there for two years, treating head and neck oncology patients in the maxillofacial department. She also worked for over five years at two local dental practices in Dorset. As a locum hygienist therapist, she helped cover other practices, such as cancelling appointments while on maternity leave following the birth of Thea in 2017. Kayley and her husband Philip set up Dorset Dental Clinic in 2018 to continue their passion for the best patient care, the highest standards of treatments, helping the local community and being as eco-friendly and locally sourced as possible.
